FAQ
Where does the cruise schedule come from?
The public 2026 and 2027 tables are ingested from the official DOKK embed calendar for Port of Akureyri (port id 3). Provenance is official_port. Accepted 2028 calls with privacy-redacted ship names are held.
Why do some calls say tender / Pollurinn?
When the berth field is Pollurinn (akkeri) or the row is marked tender, the ship is at anchorage. We mark that row as tender. We do not invent a numeric tender buffer — use published times and your ship’s instructions.
Are Mývatn or Goðafoss on the ship schedule?
No. Those places are excursion destinations inland from Akureyri. They never appear as schedule ports on this site.
How do I book a shore excursion?
Use Request to book — we coordinate BusTravel Iceland inventory for Akureyri where a supplier page exists. This site does not run a live checkout cart.
Does the Mývatn tour fit every call?
No. Treat the full Mývatn & Goðafoss coach day as needing about eight published hours ashore. Shorter calls should look at Goðafoss short visit, Forest Lagoon, whale watching, or a private enquire.
What about private days?
Private North Iceland days (Goðafoss / Mývatn / Forest Lagoon style) are request-to-book with flexible pacing. We quote after your enquiry — there is no fixed public list price on this site.
